Synthesis Design: A Resolution That Keeps Failing

L3

Target: 1 thing outside work, in your life, that repeatedly fails. An exercise resolution, phone before sleep, studying you've put off—the problem that returns to square one no matter how many times you resolve. The 13 tools you can use: Observing, Imaging, Abstracting, Recognizing Patterns, Forming Patterns, Analogizing, Body Thinking, Empathizing, Dimensional Thinking, Modeling, Playing, Transforming, Synthesizing.

(1) Write the problem concretely in two or three sentences—including how many times it's failed and how many days it usually lasts before collapsing. (2) Pick 3 or more of the 13 tools, set their order, and design step by step what each tool produces for this problem and how one tool's output passes to the next. This time, one tool must address 'why it fails the same way every time.' (3) Set 1 first action—executable within 24 hours and in under 30 minutes. (4) Write the expected observation: what should be observable within 2 weeks if this approach is working.
