Steelman: life and spending
L2Choose one claim below that you disagree with. If you happen to agree with all three, you may pick a different claim about life and spending that you usually disagree with. ① Waking at dawn (the 'miracle morning') is in effect good for virtually everyone, and failing to do it is a matter of willpower. ② You should cancel all subscription services and pay per use whenever you need something — it's always the better deal. ③ Spending on gifts for life events and on social gatherings should be minimized; spending money to maintain relationships is irrational.
State your chosen claim in one line at the top, then step into the shoes of a reasonable person who genuinely believes it and lay out the strongest possible version. The goal is a version that person would read and admit, 'You made my case better than I could.' Give at least three distinct reasons supporting the position, and pre-empt one likely counterargument in that person's own voice. Don't write a single line that reveals what you actually think.
