Shifting scale: the stuff in your home
L2Situation: you live in a studio apartment, and your belongings — clothes, books, kitchenware, hobby gear combined — amount to 30 moving boxes. You roughly keep a mental map of what's where, so it's rare to spend more than a minute finding something.
Imagine these belongings becoming (1) 10x, at 300 boxes, (2) 100x, at 3,000 boxes, and (3) 1/10, at 3 boxes — each in turn. For each scale, describe separately 'what breaks' and 'what newly emerges.' 'The place gets cramped / looks roomier' is not an answer. Pinpoint how storage, finding things, and upkeep costs change qualitatively at each scale. You must address all three directions.
